The Animal Legal Center does both non-profit and for-profit animal advocacy work. We are committed to advancing the legal status of animals in alignment with mainstream American views.
By working closely with the judicial, legislative, and animal communities, the ALC strives to achieve legal recognition that animals are sentient beings, deserving of protection. The ALC also endeavors to strengthen the legal recognition that destruction of the bond between an animal and his/her guardian is often the cause of severe emotional pain and suffering.
Public Policy
In working with various law-making entities (e.g. state legislature), the ALC is committed to advocate positive win-win public policy.

The ALC will be rolling out many new programs; stay tuned.
Advocacy is second nature in all we do. Doing the right thing for animals elevates our society’s expectations to positively support all living creatures with respect.
